Hapit na sa katapusan sa transfer!‏ 4/17/2013

kamusta tanan (hi everyone!)
I've been learning a lot about how the spirit works within us - it will not force us to take a u turn, but it will gently and, if we hearken in the least, it will persistently encourage us to change our direction - we should always follow o the best of our ability, and we will be directed for righteousness eventually.  Our steps towards "the light of the world" will be accepted and applauded, even when we stumble awkwardly.
Me and my companion have been teaching people about how sometimes our lives seem full of doubt or fears or just plain darkness, and so we use president Uchtdorf's talk to show them that through coming to the light of the world and setting aside those things that do so easily beset us, we can dispel those doubts/fears/other enemies of faith.  We explain that the light form Christ includes the blessings, enlightenment, happiness, comfort, and every other thing we are given by Christ through faith him and according to our following his teachings.
Me and my companion seem to be getting along well, we both know we're not perfect but striving, and that understanding helps us be patient with all of each other's imperfections and to become united in purpose, just like the Godhead: Our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are seperate beings, but united in purpose.
so that's about it, hope all's well with you and yours!

•General Conference karong magabut nga weekend!!!!!!!‏ 4/10/2013

Hi everyone!
It was really hard, and a lot of pages, and a lot of trying to shorten it up, but I just got a condensed print-out of general conference!  I hope it was worth the effort and time.
Another week in Danao with my companion!  we seem to be unified in purpose and as fellowservants - we're getting along pretty good as far as I can see.
Coming into the mission, I thought preparation day would be the best day, but with all the stuff I'm trying to do it turns out being the most stressful as well and therefore I dread it the most.  For example, with how hard it was to try and get the talks from general conference shorter, I'm not able to get as much into this message as I want, and I feel bad about it, but I can't really do anything about it because I'm pretty much out of time.
I'm still working hard and trying to learn how to set spiritual defenses against the adversary for us and the people we're teaching! (along with the 12 week program training program)  I'll get to watch general conference this weekend, and I'll talk to you all next week!
A servant of the Lord,

Happy Birthday Elder Dallin!

Managat me sa sunod actividad!‏ 4/03/2013

kamusta tanan!
It's another amazing day in Danao! Me and my companion may have found a possible Ward Mission Leader :) He's served as seminary and institute teacher, been a part time missionary with his wife, served on a bishopric, and also as a ward mission leader in the past. He also knows a lot about the area, and definitely knows how to work with the ward and knows how important ward missionary leaders are. We are definitely going to suggest to the bishop that he be our new ward mission leader!
Work's been sorta crazy lately, we keep on going places when nobody's home which is usually called being "punted". But we're also trying to figure out how to focus more on the ward and what should be happening with that. We've been trying to figure out why people are going inactive, and trying to find the root of the concern. the branches are the things like plete or other things, but those things stem from deeper concerns, such as worldly worries and distractions slowly choking their testimony or not knowing what is required for the Celestial kingdom. There seems to be a tendancy to be very lax about that. I've heard from multitudes of people that it doesn't matter what church you belong to, just believe in Christ and be a good person; this is false doctrine. it is also false doctrine to believe that salvation is easy. It is everything but easy. So many people don't realize that if there's even a shortcoming in your effort and you don't fix it, you will have regret in the next life. The truth is that we must do all within our power. this does not mean that we can just do stuff and be good; it means we must constantly strive to be better.
and that is why I'm striving to be better and more effective and always learn and improve.
love you all!
