Managat me sa sunod actividad!‏ 4/03/2013

kamusta tanan!
It's another amazing day in Danao! Me and my companion may have found a possible Ward Mission Leader :) He's served as seminary and institute teacher, been a part time missionary with his wife, served on a bishopric, and also as a ward mission leader in the past. He also knows a lot about the area, and definitely knows how to work with the ward and knows how important ward missionary leaders are. We are definitely going to suggest to the bishop that he be our new ward mission leader!
Work's been sorta crazy lately, we keep on going places when nobody's home which is usually called being "punted". But we're also trying to figure out how to focus more on the ward and what should be happening with that. We've been trying to figure out why people are going inactive, and trying to find the root of the concern. the branches are the things like plete or other things, but those things stem from deeper concerns, such as worldly worries and distractions slowly choking their testimony or not knowing what is required for the Celestial kingdom. There seems to be a tendancy to be very lax about that. I've heard from multitudes of people that it doesn't matter what church you belong to, just believe in Christ and be a good person; this is false doctrine. it is also false doctrine to believe that salvation is easy. It is everything but easy. So many people don't realize that if there's even a shortcoming in your effort and you don't fix it, you will have regret in the next life. The truth is that we must do all within our power. this does not mean that we can just do stuff and be good; it means we must constantly strive to be better.
and that is why I'm striving to be better and more effective and always learn and improve.
love you all!

Elder Dallin Carlson
