earth-sways
there was an earthquake in bohol island, on the other side of cebu. here on negros island in Bayawan zone, we didn't get much of the earthquake, just some gentle earth-sways :P. it seemed to effect our internet though, i had to get back on again to finish up the internet. anyways, ... my first email from negros!! Siaton is good - the view is, atleast. it's so cool! there may not be any big stores, just small tindahans that have what we need.
I've been trying to meet everyone and write their names in the back of my planner to remember them and take pics of them for the area book.
Maybe i should do the same with my district - there's only like six missionaries. :P we've got super new, sorta new, and relatively new missionaries. there's me, my companion who's on his third transfer, a sister trisome composed of a sister just arrived in the mission field and one on her 2nd transfer and one out for 6 months, and the zone leaders.
we did some good work with the other district at the CSP in Bayawan cleaning up trash and stuff carried around by the huge flood that happened just before i got here...we even moved the frame of a hut - it could have been a hut before, but with a bit of leadership and good teamwork, we got everyone to help and we moved the whole thing out of the way! It just goes to show how much can happen if there's someone who helps everyone see the goal and work together to accomplish it.
